People in care homes receive accommodation and personal care as a single package under one contractual agreement. The registered manager had built effective relationships with external health and social care organisations and people’s health was regularly monitored. The environment had been adapted to ensure people who had mental or physical disabilities were able to lead fulfilling lives. People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible. The policies and systems in the service supported this practice.
The home has 3 lounges on the ground floor and three on the first floor, including a lounge for those people who wish to smoke. The bedrooms are on both floors, with a lift to the first floor. There are accessible gardens and space for car parking. The fees on the day of the inspection were £392 per week. The Beeches provides care and support for people aged 65 and over.
